The Trouble with India’s Transgender Persons Laws

While many governments’ have come forward with new laws which (seemingly) ensure the emancipation of various gender groups, some laws have proven to be more detrimental than beneficial. In this article, we critically analyse and discuss some of the problems with one such legislation which was passed in India – the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act of 2019 .
